automatically weighing and identifying at least some of the individual birds of the flock, isarranged about the shed; and the data provided by the weighing cells (44) is processedby first computer means (45) to average the overall weight of the flock in the shed. Datafrom the first computer means (45) is processed by second computer means (46) tocalculate the ration of feed for the shed for a predetermined time interval to maintainoptimum productive weight of the birds. A control means activates the feeding system ata predetermined time to supply the determined ration of feed.
